She was a sports reporter for some of the largest outlets in the United States. She covered football, basketball and Grand Slam Tennis for The Washington Post. Nichols has won two Emmy Awards during her nine-year period working for ESPN and appeared on many of the network's most popular shows like NFL Countdown or SportsCenter, moved to ESPN in the year 2004. The Monday Night Football coverage as an official reporter was a one of the areas she worked at the network. After she left ESPN, her next station was CNN as well as Turner Sports. Unguarded the show, which she created and hosted aired each one week at CNN International. A record-breaking 1 billion viewers were watching it around the world. Nichols was employed by TNT as a reporter and reporter on NBA games including playoffs, regular season and All Star shows. The work she did on behalf of TBS included baseball and golf coverage as well as Final Four broadcasts by CBS. Only a woman has been chosen from more than 200 nominees over the history of 42 years for the honor.
